About Me

Hi, I'm Jill.

As former regional swimming champion, I'm at home in the water. My goal is to help you and your children be safe and love the water as I do.
With many years' experience as a Swim England qualified teacher, I began to feel that traditional methods and group lessons are not the best way to meet the needs of all children. I discovered self-rescue as an effective way to introduce babies and children to swimming, whilst teaching them to be safe in the water. Proudly, I am now a certified instructor for Children of the Water, Europe's leading self-rescue course provider. This skilll has taken me all over Europe, working with families who wish to learn this life-saving technique. In private lessons I am able to tailor my approach to each individual, ensuring both adults and children learn to swim safely and efficiently.

What My Customers Say

Jill has been teaching both my children to swim for about 2 years. They started at 1 years old and they began with the self rescue course. Jill has continued to teach them doing one lesson a week. She has built trust with them over time and they throughly enjoy their lessons, and look forward to seeing her.
Jill has given them confidence in the water and I feel more re assured. I can’t recommend Jill enough, she has been great with my children and they are both doing amazing with their swimming.

This depends on age and confidence. I work to build a child's confidence as a priority and as we get to know each other, I can effectively tailor lessons to be most beneficial to your child.

No! The course is designed to teach a life saving skill, to be used in the event of an emergency. Children should be supervised around water at all times, even if they can swim.
